Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Carvalho (ranked 2619 p4p, 4005 weight class) and Reggie George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
George wants to break free but Carvalho has control.
Carvalho looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Carvalho tries a knee to the head but George blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvalho will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning George up against the cage.
Carvalho is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
George wants to get back to his feet.
Carvalho is taking a breather. George says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

In his post fight interview, Rodrigo Carvalho started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
