Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dillon Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Davis acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dillon Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, John Davis! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Steel. Steel drives through and clinches with Davis against the cage.
Davis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Steel has him pressed against the cage. Davis takes an elbow to the temple. The is referee keeping an eye on Steel - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Davis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Steel decides to pull guard. Davis wants to stand and escape but instead Steel has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Steel passes Davis's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Davis tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Steel slows the pace down in half guard. Steel works his way into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis is squirming around, avoiding Steel's attempts to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel controlling from the full mount. Davis wants to control but Steel is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Steel content just to control the position here. BOOM! Steel connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Davis is looking to get to half guard. Steel content just to control the position here. Steel is looking to work his way around to Davis's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Steel controlling the position easily from mount. Davis is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Steel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Davis's face.
Steel wants to control the pace but Davis is squirming around nicely.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Dillon Steel just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Davis tries to keep at a distance but Steel has taken the fight into the clinch. Davis stops a takedown attempt from Steel.
Steel can't get the takedown.
Davis tries to break free but Steel pushes him back against the cage. Steel manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Davis is looking to advance position but Steel has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Davis regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis is trying to stand back up but Steel is controlling him

Davis is not content to let Steel control the position. Steel is breathing heavily. Davis is looking to escape. Steel controlling the action here. Davis is looking to improve his position.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Steel is thwarting Davis's attempts to control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Steel throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Davis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Steel is fending him off so far but Davis persists. Nope, Steel circles away and we're back to standing. Davis throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Steel with a body punch. A glancing blow. Nice takedown defense from Davis. No joy for Steel on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dillon Steel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel moves into the clinch. Steel keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Davis's efforts to push away. Steel jumps into guard, dragging Davis to the mat.
Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Steel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Steel is trying to control the position but Davis postures up.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Davis looking to sit in guard and control but Steel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Steel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Davis wants to sweep but no luck. Davis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Steel is controlling him. Steel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Davis's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Davis tries to clinch but Steel moves away and Steel counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Davis is looking to escape.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Steel takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Steel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Davis wants to improve his position but Steel is controlling well.
Davis tries to kick Steel off but Steel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Steel takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Steel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Davis tries to get to full guard but Steel has control of the leg.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Steel is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Davis is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dillon Steel!
