Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lonnie Kiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raizer Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raizer Payne looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lonnie Kiger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raizer Payne! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiger changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Payne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kiger is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Payne has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Payne is being controlled here. Payne tries to get back to half guard but can't. Payne throws a couple of elbows from the bottom.
Kiger wants to control but Payne is keeping him busy. Payne throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Payne misses with an elbow from the bottom. Payne tries to bench press Kiger off him but Kiger keeps the position. Kiger trying to control the position but Payne is working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Payne misses with a takedown attempt so Kiger counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kiger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Payne swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kiger stands up over Payne, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiger wants to pass the guard but Payne is keeping the position. Payne thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Payne looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Payne looks gassed! Kiger looking to pass the guard. Payne throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Payne trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Payne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kiger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Payne's guard now. Payne can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kiger controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Payne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Payne keeping full guard, as Kiger tries to pass. Kiger wants to control from the top but Payne keeps moving. Kiger looking to pass the guard. Kiger slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kiger thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kiger working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payne misses with an elbow from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Payne's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Payne tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kiger wants to control but Payne is keeping him busy. Payne is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kiger's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kiger is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Payne has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are battling for position here. Payne manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kiger trying to control but Payne is working from the bottom. Payne will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Kiger thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kiger content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kiger trying to control but Payne is working from the bottom. Payne is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Lonnie Kiger dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Payne has his takedown stuffed and Kiger counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kiger. Kiger drags the fight down to the ground.
Kiger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Payne connects with a couple of short punches. Kiger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Payne thows a big elbow that misses. Kiger manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Payne manages to get himself to full guard.
Payne keeping moving, preventing Kiger from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Payne strikes from his own guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Payne thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Payne throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kiger is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kiger preventing the sweep. Payne is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kiger pushes down on Payne's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kiger is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kiger prevents Payne from improving his position. Payne tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Kiger seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kiger is working for a kimura but Payne is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiger is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Payne can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kiger trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kiger swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Payne is now in Kiger's guard. A big mistake from Kiger there, giving up the dominant position! Kiger had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Payne is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kiger Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Payne's back instead. Kiger is trying to stick to Payne's back but Payne is turning into Kiger. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kiger's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Payne.

Payne working some strikes from top position. Payne connects with a couple of short punches. Payne is looking to work some ground and pound but Kiger has wrist control. Kiger pulls Payne in close to prevent any damage. Payne with a flurry of punches that miss. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kiger is controlling Payne's posture. Kiger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Payne lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lonnie Kiger dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Payne shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kiger as he avoids it easily. Kiger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kiger staying calm. Kiger wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Payne, who protects the arm well. Kiger wants to control but Payne is keeping him busy. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kiger is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Payne knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiger is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Payne is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Payne manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Payne lands a nice short elbow. Payne wants to work for an arm triangle but Kiger is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Payne throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Payne performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kiger regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Payne.

Payne is posturing up here but Kiger has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Payne tries to roll out but it's too tight and Payne has to tap! Slick submission there by Kiger!
