Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Mathyus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Mathyus! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mathyus throws a head kick that misses. Mathyus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Miller blocks a head kick by Mathyus.
Mathyus fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Mathyus throws a series of punches but Miller moves out of range. Mathyus blocks a leg kick. A slapping body kick lands there for Mathyus. No joy there for Mathyus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mathyus throws a hook to the side of Miller's head but Miller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Miller fails to land the takedown. Mathyus throws a head kick that misses. Mathyus tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mathyus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mathyus fails to land with a series of punches.
Miller will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Miller shoots in and bounces Mathyus off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Miller sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller cracks Mathyus with a solid left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Miller passes Mathyus's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mathyus looks gassed! Miller is figuring out what he wants to do next. Mathyus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mathyus for as long as he can get away with. Miller not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Miller there. Miller postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mathyus to stand up. Miller closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Miller stands up and beckons Mathyus to his feet. Mathyus blocks a head kick by Miller.
Miller moves into the clinch. Mathyus creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Mathyus is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Miller has Mathyus pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mathyus manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Miller tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mathyus smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Miller controlling the pace. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Miller decides to stand and escape the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Miller dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Miller fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mathyus, pushing him back against the cage. Miller jumps guard and drags Mathyus to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Miller controlling the position. Mathyus avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Miller is working hard here to advance position. Mathyus is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller pulls Mathyus in close to his closed guard and prevents Mathyus from doing any damage or advancing position. Miller has his feet on Mathyus's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Miller takes a kick to the side of the head. Mathyus avoids the head kick by Miller.
Miller throws a right and a left that Mathyus avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mathyus throws a lazy head kick and Miller moves into the clinch. Miller wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Miller is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mathyus pulls him back up using the underhooks. Miller stalling.
Miller decides to pull guard. Miller pushes Mathyus off and scrambles back to his feet.
Miller darts in and clinches Mathyus up against the cage. Miller ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Miller no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Mathyus wanted to stand there but Miller had control of the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Miller holds on and takes a little breather.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Miller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mathyus manages to get himself to full guard.
Miller seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Miller throws a big right hand that misses. Miller decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Miller rushes Mathyus and presses him up against the cage. Mathyus wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Miller turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Shane Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The referee asks Miller politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Miller prefers to stall for the moment though. Miller stands up and we're back to a striking position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Miller dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Miller shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Miller showed some decent athleticism there. Miller stalling. Miller is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mathyus sees it coming and defends easily. Miller will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Miller is controlling the pace.
Mathyus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mathyus won't allow Miller to pass to mount. Miller passes to full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Miller is in the full mount, landing strikes. Miller sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Shane Miller just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Mathyus throws a right hand that Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Miller also avoids with ease. Mathyus misses with a series of wild punches.

Miller closes the distance and clinches. Come on Miller - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Miller lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Miller moves nicely into side control. Miller just content to control the position. Miller landing a few strikes. Miller controls the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Shane Miller showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
