The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Maximov tries to clinch but Gregory moves out of range.
Maximov tries to bum rush Gregory with a series of wild strikes but Gregory uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gregory closes the distance and clinches.
Gregory jumps guard but Maximov stands there with Gregory around his waist. Gregory gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Maximov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Maximov manages to end up in side control.

Gregory misses with a body kick.
Maximov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gregory feints and as Maximov raises his hands in defense, Gregory changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
