Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Way Nada (ranked 23488 p4p, 23553 weight class) and Dawindi Buktot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 76 - 72 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 57 - 88 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Nada tries a low kick but Buktot avoids it.
Buktot steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Nada.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nada is defended easily by Buktot.
Buktot appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nada.

Nada shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Buktot manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nada looking to sit in guard and control but Buktot gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Buktot engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Nada wants to sweep but no luck.

Nada escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Buktot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Buktot is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nada pulls Buktot in close to his closed guard and prevents Buktot from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Buktot fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nada sprawls well initially but Buktot persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Buktot thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nada's head.
Buktot wants to pass the guard but Nada is defending well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Buktot in particular looking to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nada is looking to control Buktot's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nada avoid being mounted?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dawindi Buktot dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Nada shoots in for a takedown but Buktot shows good takedown defense.

Buktot drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Nada's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buktot wants to control but Nada is keeping him busy.

Buktot moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Nada struggling a bit here.
Buktot is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Nada will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nada looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Buktot tries a quick counter leg kick but Nada is wise to it.
Nada shoots in for a double leg but Buktot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Buktot lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Nada looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And Buktot responds with a good body kick, but Nada manages to step out the way in time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Way Nada. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Buktot misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Nada looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nada thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Buktot is looking to control Nada's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Buktot avoid being mounted?
Dawindi Buktot has got the better of the ground game so far.
Nada trying to pass the guard but Buktot defending well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Way Nada will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Nada shoots in looking for a takedown. Buktot tries to sprawl out of it but Nada keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Buktot manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Buktot thinks about the counter body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buktot tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nada sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buktot somewhat.

Nada shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Buktot replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Nada blocks it well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Way Nada. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Buktot shoots in but Nada avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nada quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nada drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Nada seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Nada is fighting to break Buktot's control of his arms but Buktot is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nada trying to control the position from guard on top but Buktot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nada controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

And that's the end of the fight!
Way Nada showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Nada has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
