Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noriko Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Randleman!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a series of punches but Randleman moves out of range.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Randleman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Randleman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gracie has his foot on Randleman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Randleman works his way back into a safe position though.

Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Randleman's guard.

Randleman tries to bench press Gracie off him but Gracie keeps the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Randleman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Randleman is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gracie off and has taken his back!
Gracie manages to reverse the position and now he's in Randleman's guard. Nice work there by Gracie.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Randleman is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Randleman is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.

Randleman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Randleman lands in his opponent's guard.

Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Randleman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Randleman has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

Randleman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Randleman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Randleman's back instead.
