Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard John Salvacion (ranked 23345 p4p, 23508 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 63 - 88 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 78 - 67 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut misses with a takedown attempt - Salvacion sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Salvacion is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Salvacion drives through with a takedown into Buut's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut controls Salvacion momentarily but Salvacion frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buut tries to land a sweep but no joy.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Buut is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Salvacion's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt - Buut sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Salvacion closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Buut did well to prevent Salvacion getting side control. Buut is trying to maintain the position but Salvacion is very close to passing his half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut is holding on to half guard well. Salvacion seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Buut trying to control but Salvacion postures up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Buut is staying active underneath Salvacion, who seems content to just control the action from this position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Salvacion slows the pace down in half guard.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Buut throws a lazy body kick and Salvacion counters with an outside leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut connects with a leg kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Richard John Salvacion dominated that round. That's time! Salvacion's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Salvacion closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Buut to the mat! Buut manages to get full guard.
Buut has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Salvacion has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Salvacion lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Buut slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Richard John Salvacion overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Buut manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Salvacion manages to get himself to full guard.
 This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Buut content to stall in guard here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salvacion pulls Buut in close to prevent any damage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Buut seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Buut looking to score a takedown here. Salvacion is defending well but Buut drives through and ends up in Salvacion's guard. Buut is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Buut is continuing to stall.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Salvacion changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Buut looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Buut wants to control but Salvacion postures up. Salvacion in side control, just content to control the action for now. Salvacion working away.
 That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Salvacion wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Buut is trying to control Salvacion's posture but Salvacion avoids it. Salvacion wants to lay and pray for a moment but Buut keeps working.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Salvacion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Buut tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salvacion is in Buut's guard.
Buut wriggles free and stands up.
Salvacion dives in and scores a takedown into Buut's guard. Salvacion is fighting to break Buut's control of his arms but Buut is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut is trying to control the position but Salvacion postures up. Salvacion is stalling in the full guard. Buut pulls Salvacion in close to prevent any damage.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Salvacion trying to control but Buut is working from the bottom.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salvacion feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that's the end of the fight! Richard John Salvacion showed his dominance in that final round. Well Salvacion has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
