Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Armyian Thrice (ranked 4270 p4p, 4190 weight class) and Damon Josiah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Armyian Thrice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damon Josiah!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Damien Edna and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Josiah moves into the clinch.
Josiah has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Thrice avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Thrice looking to slow down the pace here.
Thrice fails to pull guard.
Thrice has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Josiah is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Thrice breaks the clinch.
Thrice clinches.
Thrice tries to land knees in the clinch but Josiah avoids the damage to the body.
Thrice fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Armyian Thrice. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Josiah jumps guard and drags Thrice to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thrice stands up over Josiah, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Josiah utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Josiah has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Josiah is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thrice is aware though and is defending well.

Thrice trying to control the position from guard on top but Josiah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Thrice would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Josiah really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thrice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thrice throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Josiah works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Thrice is looking to work some ground and pound but Josiah has wrist control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Josiah has taken the fight to the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Thrice fails to land.
Josiah gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Thrice.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Josiah jumps guard and drags Thrice to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thrice drops back, looking for a kneebar! Josiah looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Josiah looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Josiah!
Thrice is looking for a sweep.
Josiah stands up.
Thrice forces Josiah back against the cage and clinches.
Josiah is trying to break free.
A frustrated look appears on Josiah's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Thrice manages to break the clinch.
Josiah with a poor takedown
and Thrice counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Thrice jumps guard.
Thrice is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Josiah has his hands clasped together but Thrice extends and breaks Josiah's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Thrice.
