The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Santos shoots for a double leg takedown but Sneeds sprawls well. He's pushed de Santos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bruno de Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sneeds shoots and misses
and de Santos counters with a single leg into guard. Sneeds didn't expect that.
Sneeds wants to sweep here but de Santos controlling him for the moment.

de Santos is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Sneeds knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sneeds for a finish.

de Santos has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Sneeds has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

de Santos is looking for the choke from the back position but Sneeds is controlling his hands well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
de Santos is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sneeds has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sneeds wants to control but de Santos is having none of it.

de Santos is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sneeds can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

de Santos has his foot on Sneeds's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sneeds works his way back into a safe position though.
