Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rico Nurmano (ranked 2836 p4p, 25325 weight class) and Ivan Bernados (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rico Nurmano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan Bernados! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bernados shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nurmano as he avoids it easily. Bernados throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nurmano.
Nurmano moves into the clinch. Nurmano can't get the takedown.
Nurmano escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nurmano drives through with a takedown into Bernados's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Bernados looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nurmano working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Bernados is trying to keep Nurmano in close.
Nurmano is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bernados escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nurmano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nurmano sitting in guard, not really doing much.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Bernados is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bernados avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nurmano postures up.
Nurmano trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bernados tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bernados not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nurmano knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bernados on the ground. Bernados preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Nurmano loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nurmano controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Horrible takedown attempt by Bernados or perhaps it was just good defense by Nurmano, which made it look bad. Bernados misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rico Nurmano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Bernados.
Bernados gets caught flat footed, as Nurmano shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bernados working a defensive guard here.
Nurmano works a leg free and moves into half guard. Nurmano takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bernados is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nurmano pulls his head out easily. Nurmano wants to pass the guard but Bernados is defending well.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Nurmano is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Nurmano throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bernados works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Nurmano trying to control but Bernados is working from the bottom. Nurmano looking to pass the guard. Nurmano pushes down on Bernados's leg and manages to get into half guard. Bernados blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nurmano. Nurmano not doing much here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bernados trying to control here.
Nurmano is looking for a kimura but Bernados is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nurmano to get the leverage. Bernados is trying to maintain the position but Nurmano is very close to passing his half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bernados fails with a takedown attempt. Nurmano seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Nurmano dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bernados throws a hook to the side of Nurmano's head but Nurmano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bernados dives in for a single leg takedown but Nurmano sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nurmano moves into the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Bernados wants a takedown but no success here.

Nurmano throws a body kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bernados fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rico Nurmano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Bernados. Bernados fails with the takedown. Bernados tries to clinch but Nurmano is having none of it. Rico Nurmano is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nurmano manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bernados on his heels. He'll look to pass Bernados's guard now, I'm sure.

Bernados is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nurmano has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bernados is trying to control the position but Nurmano postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bernados is working an open guard so Nurmano takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Nurmano throws a head kick that misses. Bernados tries to clinch up. Bernados throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nurmano's waist but Nurmano gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bernados off to one side. As Bernados tries to get set, Nurmano tries to push him back and clinch up but Bernados manages to avoid the attempt. Bernados closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nurmano circles away. Nurmano is looking for a counter combo. Bernados shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nurmano sprawls well. Nurmano wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bernados gets slowly back to his feet. Bernados is breathing heavily.
Nurmano shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bernados napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Nurmano has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Nurmano shoots in and gets a takedown into Bernados's guard. Nurmano pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bernados is keeping the position for now. Nurmano works over Bernados with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nurmano seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Nurmano's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bernados working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nurmano doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nurmano manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nurmano lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Bernados bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nurmano's guard.
Nurmano wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Rico Nurmano overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bernados wants to control from the top but Nurmano keeps moving. Bernados postures up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Nurmano can't keep his opponent in guard - Bernados advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bernados trying to control from half guard but Nurmano is working away. Nurmano is looking to get back to is feet but Bernados passes into side control.
Bernados tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bernados has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Nurmano tries to buck Bernados off but Bernados is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nurmano is not content to let Bernados control the position. Bernados looks up at the clock and then as Nurmano takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bernados smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bernados fails with a takedown attempt. Bernados tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nurmano swivels and escapes. Bernados is looking to clinch. Nurmano bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nurmano tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Nurmano slows the pace down.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Nurmano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bernados keeps working. Nurmano is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bernados is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Nurmano is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bernados can do to turn this around?
Nurmano decides to stand back up. Nurmano steps back and let's Bernados get back to his feet. Nurmano walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Nurmano shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bernados won't allow Nurmano to pass to mount.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Nurmano performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nurmano looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nurmano throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nurmano feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nurmano sitting in guard here, content to control. Bernados controls Nurmano momentarily but Nurmano frees himself. Nurmano wants to get up but he can't break Bernados's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nurmano throwing strikes from guard but Bernados blocks nicely. Bernados trying to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Rico Nurmano showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nurmano has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
