The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rhodes.
Rhodes leaves Beasley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rhodes swats away the attempt to clinch by Beasley.
Rhodes looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Rhodes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beasley dives in and grabs Rhodes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rhodes pushes down on Beasley's head and hops out.
Beasley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rhodes avoids it really well and circles away.
Rhodes throws out a counter right but Beasley avoids it with no problem.

Beasley wants to clinch up but Rhodes keeps it at a distance.
Rhodes shoots for a double leg takedown but Beasley sprawls well. He's pushed Rhodes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Beasley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rhodes as he avoids it easily.

Beasley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rhodes sprawls well. Rhodes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Beasley gets slowly back to his feet.

Beasley tries a head kick but it misses.
Beasley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rhodes's waist but Rhodes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beasley off to one side.
Rhodes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rhodes lands in his opponent's guard.
Beasley is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rhodes dives into side control.

Rhodes is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Beasley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Rhodes works to advance to full mount. Beasley defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Beasley manages to control the position for a moment.
Rhodes looking to isolate an arm here. Beasley doesn't see it coming and as Rhodes extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Rhodes!
