Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elizondo Tacos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willis has chosen Can't be touched as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elizondo Tacos!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eddie Willis!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis misses with a looping left.

Tacos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Willis was covering up waiting for the punch and Tacos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Willis wants to stand but Tacos is controlling the position.
Tacos thows a big elbow that misses.
Tacos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Willis is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Willis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tacos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tacos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Tacos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Willis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Tacos is pushing down on Willis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Willis is fighting to maintain full guard but Tacos has managed to sneak the leg through.
Willis is staying active underneath Tacos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Willis pushes Tacos off looking to stand but Tacos dives back in and keeps control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tacos thows a huge punch but Willis dodges it nicely.

Tacos is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Tacos misses with a head shot. Willis uses the momentum to regain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tacos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tacos misses with a straight right.
Tacos takes one on the button.
Tacos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A left lands for Tacos.
Tacos lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tacos throws the kick towards the body but Willis avoids it.

Willis missing with a left hand there. Tacos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Eddie Willis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Tacos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Willis waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Tacos.
Willis throws a lazy right hand but Tacos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Tacos feints and as Willis raises his hands in defense, Tacos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tacos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Willis's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Willis can do anything to dispel that myth.

Willis looks to land a combination but Tacos avoids it well.

Tacos has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Willis's face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Willis is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Tacos cracks Willis with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
