The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryerson misses with a kick to the body.
Ryerson tries to land a front kick but Villareiz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ryerson, right into the meat.
Villareiz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Villareiz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ryerson.
Villareiz misses with a jab, cross combination.
A thudding body kick lands there by Ryerson!
Villareiz staying out of range there.
Ryerson misses with a head kick.
Ryerson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Villareiz's calf.
Villareiz looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Villareiz pushes Ryerson up against the cage in a clinch.
Ryerson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Ryerson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ryerson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ryerson lands a head shot.
Good leg kick by Ryerson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A head kick from Ryerson lands but Villareiz takes it in his stride.

Ryerson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Villareiz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ryerson.
Ryerson throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Ladds Villareiz has been cut.
Ryerson thuds his shin into the meat of Villareiz's side.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ryerson feints and then cracks Villareiz's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Villareiz down.

Ryerson lands with a nice body punch.

A nice leg kick lands there from Ryerson.
Whack! Ryerson lands a heavy head kick that drops Villareiz. The ref tackles Ryerson to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Villareiz was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Ned Ryerson!
