Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Nukem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele comes into the arena with The Terminator Theme blaring out of the sound system. Nukem has chosen Duke Nukem Jam as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jason Steele! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duke Nukem! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nukem throws a jab when Steele was well out of range. Nukem scores with a shot to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Steele 's head but he takes it in his stride. Nukem bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Steele's head. Nukem misses the jab. Steele displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nukem throws out the jab. Nukem throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nukem misses with a wild body shot. Steele closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nukem to the mat! Nukem manages to get full guard. Steele trying to control the position from guard on top but Nukem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Steele in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Steele accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Steele pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nukem is keeping the position for now. Steele throwing strikes from guard but Nukem blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steele missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nukem utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Steele throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nukem thows a left - swing and a miss! Nukem swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nukem keeps the fight on the outside. Steele ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nukem moves away. Nukem connects with a looping right hand.

and Steele moves into the clinch. Nukem can't break the clinch.
Steele jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nukem walks away with a smile on his face. Steele gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A big left from Nukem misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nukem swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Nukem misses the target. Nukem misses with a shot to the body and Steele counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nukem! Steele thowing shots but they're missing. Nukem blocking the ground and pound. Steele unloads with some shots from mount but Nukem bucks and avoids them well.
Nukem wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Steele.
Steele trying to control but Nukem is having none of it. Nukem really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steele. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nukem is bucking up trying to escape but Steele cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Steele looking to control but Nukem is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Steele has control of Nukem's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nukem regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nukem wants to control but Steele is having none of it. Nukem holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Steele tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Nukem is squirming around, avoiding Steele's attempts to control the action. Steele looking to finish with strikes here!
Steele thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Steele looking to ground and pound but Nukem is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Steele dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nukem swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nukem throws a hook but Steele blocks it. Steele displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nukem throws out the jab. Nukem lands with a hook. Steele tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A big right from Nukem misses. Nukem lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Nukem displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Steele. Nukem slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Steele digs a good body shot into Nukem's ribs. Decent striking displayed by Nukem there. Nice defenses there by Steele. Steele tries for a takedown but Nukem sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Steele doesn't manage to clinch there - Nukem circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nukem looks to land a right hand but Steele moved out of range. Nukem throws a right and a left that both miss. Nukem throws a right and a left that both miss. Nukem swings and misses with a shot to the body and Steele counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Steele tries to throw a body punch but Nukem avoids it by throwing Steele back against the cage. Steele tries a body shot but Nukem blocks it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Steele. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nukem misses with an uppercut. Steele saw that one coming. Nukem tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steele was well out of range. Poor timing from Nukem. Steele lands a nice hook to Nukem's body. Nukem takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Steele moves into the clinch. Steele jumps guard but Nukem stands there with Steele around his waist. Steele gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Steele's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nukem scores with a one two! Steele had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Nukem throws a lazy right hand but Steele sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Steele keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nukem. A slow jab from Nukem misses its intended target. Duke Nukem is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nukem getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Nukem scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Nukem lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A combination from Nukem does no damage. Nukem catches Steele with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Some wild striking there from Nukem.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele blocks a jab. The fighters circling - Nukem throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nukem pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nukem scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Nukem bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Steele's head backwards. Nukem misses with a combination
and Steele counters with a takedown into side control. Steele trying to control the position but Nukem is working away. Sloppy strikes there by Steele. Nukem parries the strikes from Steele easily there. Steele is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nukem to escape.
Steele wants to take a breather but Nukem manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Steele. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steele pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nukem is keeping the position for now. Steele throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nukem works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Steele trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Steele postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nukem takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The fighters circling - Nukem throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nukem lands with a right hand. Nukem scores with a jab to the body. Nukem lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Duke Nukem will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Nukem lands with a cross. Nukem ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Steele moves into the clinch. Steele manages to break the clinch.
A shot to the body from Nukem misses and Steele counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Steele is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Nukem has managed to free his arm - good work. Steele is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Nukem reverses the position - he's now on top in Steele's guard. Steele looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Nukem passes into side control.
Nukem wants to lay and pray for a moment but Steele keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nukem passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Steele! Steele is trying desperately to improve position. Steele tries to hold on but Nukem pushes him away.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Steele swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Steele really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele is working hard here to advance position. Steele wants to control but Nukem is having none of it. Steele is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nukem slows the pace down in half guard. Steele regains full guard. Nicely done. Steele throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Steele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nukem doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nukem manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nukem is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that's the end of the fight! Jason Steele showed his dominance in that final round. I think Steele has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
