Chavez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Get Back. Diego Chavez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Barbosa or perhaps it was just good defense by Chavez which made him look bad.
Diego Chavez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barbosa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chavez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Chavez keeps Barbosa at a distance using the push kick.
Barbosa takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Barbosa is breathing heavily.
Barbosa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Chavez.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chavez scores with a kick to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Chavez.
Chavez throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Chavez throws a left that rocks Barbosa and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Chavez dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Barbosa regain composure!

It looks like Claudio Barbosa has been cut.
Chavez controls the position from side control.
Chavez sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Barbosa is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Chavez stands up and beckons Barbosa to his feet.

Chavez clinches.

Chavez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barbosa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Barbosa drops his hands momentarily and Chavez needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Barbosa just on the top of the head. Barbosa drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Barbosa - he's done!
