Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Neal Nuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manuel Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rios is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Like Toy Soldiers. Neal Nuss looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rios gets caught flat footed, as Nuss shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rios had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nuss is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rios Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nuss's back instead.
Rios tightening his grip on Nuss, looking for the choke.
Will Rios go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Rios is trying to stick to Nuss's back but Nuss is turning into Rios. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rios's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Nuss.

Nuss changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rios looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

You can see the frustration on Rios's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nuss lands a nice short elbow.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rios is on top in guard.

and Rios counters with a series of strikes. Nuss will be more careful next time no doubt.
