Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between speedy devil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and hi bye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). bye has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! hi bye has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, speedy devil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
devil is looking to clinch but bye is avoiding it.
bye looks gassed!
bye looks to clinch
and devil counters with a thumping low kick.
bye displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from devil.
devil shoots in and bounces bye off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
devil seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
devil trying to control the position from guard on top but bye is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
bye is looking to stand up but devil isn't so interested in that idea.
devil stays in close to bye's body and controls the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells devil's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Good anti-grappling being displayed by bye as devil tries to tie him up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
devil is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
devil seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down bye for as long as he can get away with.

devil rushes bye and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
