Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chip Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cade Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chip Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown blocking the ground and pound attempt from Stevens.

Brown is looking for a sweep. Stevens is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Cade Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Stevens counters by clinching up.
Chip Stevens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cade Brown.
Stevens is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Brown pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Stevens tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brown avoids it.

Brown isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Stevens stacks Brown on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Stevens!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brown pushes Stevens away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Stevens gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Brown is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Stevens takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That was a close round but I would say that Chip Stevens will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stevens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Brown has instead reached around Stevens's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Brown arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
