Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Muffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozzie Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ozzie Edwards has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Forrest Muffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ozzie Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards doesn't manage to clinch there - Muffin circles away.
Edwards is looking to clinch.

Muffin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Edwards to the mat! Edwards manages to get full guard.
Edwards is looking to stand up but Muffin isn't so interested in that idea.
Muffin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Muffin prevents Edwards from getting back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Edwards can do anything to dispel that myth.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Edwards lands a high kick to the side of Muffin's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Edwards dives into guard, looking to finish.


It looks like Forrest Muffin has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Muffin has Edwards pulled in close to control his posture.
Edwards slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Muffin is looking for a triangle but Edwards pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Edwards has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Muffin is proving hard to escape from.
Edwards seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Muffin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Muffin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Edwards is controlling him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Edwards tries to clinch but Muffin is having none of it.
Edwards ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Muffin moves away.

Ozzie Edwards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Muffin shoots for a takedown but Edwards saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Muffin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Edwards just stands there and leans against the cage.

Edwards comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Edwards misses with a punch to the body.
Muffin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Edwards avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Edwards is pushing Muffin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Muffin is working for takedown but Edwards is calmly controlling the position for now.
Edwards crunches a lovely knee into Muffin's ribcage.
Edwards content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Muffin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Edwards is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Edwards won't allow Muffin to get back to his feet.
Edwards postures up.
Edwards stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Muffin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ozzie Edwards comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Edwards has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
