The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jorge shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Jorge is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. St James doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jorge.

St James is squirming around, avoiding Jorge's attempts to control the action.

Jorge has control of St James's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and St James regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Mark St James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

St James fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jorge on the side of the head.
St James connects with a nice looking jab.

St James connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jorge momentarily.
