Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Katana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Paulo Farinelli!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farinelli takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Farinelli keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Katana.
Katana misses with a few strikes there.
A big right from Katana misses.
Farinelli looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Farinelli closes the distance and clinches up with Katana, looking for a takedown. Farinelli pushes Katana against the cage but Katana circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Katana checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

James Katana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Farinelli.
Farinelli shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Katana pinned against the cage. Katana gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Katana bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Farinelli's head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Katana looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Farinelli misses with a takedown attempt - Katana sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Farinelli looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Farinelli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Katana's waist but Katana gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Farinelli off to one side.

Farinelli shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Katana's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Katana wants to stand but Farinelli is controlling the position.

Farinelli is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Farinelli won't allow Katana to get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Katana will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Farinelli shoots for a takedown but Katana saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Katana dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Farinelli dives in and grabs Katana's left leg, looking for a takedown. Katana pushes down on Farinelli's head and hops out.

Katana looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Farinelli shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Katana pinned against the cage. Katana gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Katana misses with a jab, cross combination.

Farinelli tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Katana swivels and escapes.

That's time! Katana's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Katana misses with a series of wild punches.

Farinelli drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Katana is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Farinelli is controlling him well.

Farinelli tries for a kimura but Katana is defending well.
Farinelli is looking to take a break and control but Katana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Farinelli has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Katana is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Farinelli locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Katana is forced to tap!
