Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Landreth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, juan sanchez!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landreth shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has sanchez pinned against the cage. sanchez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Landreth really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Landreth tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but sanchez swivels and escapes.
Landreth feints and as sanchez raises his hands in defense, Landreth changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Landreth can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Landreth has gone for a leg lock! sanchez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Landreth's guard.
sanchez wants to control from the top but Landreth keeps moving.
sanchez stands and throws Landreth's legs to the side, diving into side control.
sanchez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Landreth has escaped the position, nice work there.
Landreth is breathing heavily.

sanchez tries to move to mount but Landreth blocks the move with his legs.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Landreth is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Landreth wants to control but sanchez postures up.
sanchez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Landreth knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Landreth manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Landreth is looking to control sanchez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Landreth avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
sanchez trying to pass the guard but Landreth defending well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Landreth is looking to control sanchez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Landreth avoid being mounted?
sanchez has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Landreth sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
sanchez seems to be looking for submissions.
sanchez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Landreth sees it coming and defends easily.
Landreth manages to get to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Landreth working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. sanchez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. sanchez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
sanchez wants to control from the top but Landreth keeps moving.
sanchez looking to pass the guard.
sanchez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Landreth looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Landreth looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Landreth!
Landreth is working to tighten is grip on sanchez's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. sanchez has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Landreth is really squeezing tight and eventually sanchez passes out! Landreth breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
