Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricklin Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Nogueira Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Nogueira Junior is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricklin Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Nogueira Junior!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ortiz closes the distance and clinches up with Junior, looking for a takedown. Ortiz pushes Junior against the cage but Junior circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ricklin Ortiz will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Junior shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ortiz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Junior!
Ortiz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Junior is looking to escape.
Ortiz has control of Junior's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Junior regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Junior sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Junior is on top in guard.
Junior loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Junior postures up and lands a big shot to Ortiz's brow.
Junior wants to control from the top but Ortiz keeps moving.
Ortiz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Junior content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Ortiz has locked up a guillotine! Ortiz's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Junior is holding on here and Ortiz must be using up a lot of energy. Junior has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Ortiz gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
