Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cromwell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Madigan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cromwell as he jumps to the side.
Madigan blocks a leg kick.
Madigan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cromwell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Madigan.
An inside leg kick from Madigan misses.
Cromwell connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Madigan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cromwell pinned against the cage. Cromwell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Christopher Cromwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cody Madigan.
A low kick from Madigan is predictable there
and Cromwell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Madigan's guard now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cromwell tries to roll over but Madigan keeps him under control.

Cromwell had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Madigan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cromwell Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Madigan's back instead.

Cromwell is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Madigan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Cromwell jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Madigan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Madigan and Cromwell has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Cromwell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Madigan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cromwell wants to control but Madigan is keeping him busy.

Madigan is squirming around, avoiding Cromwell's attempts to control the action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Cromwell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Madigan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cody Madigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Madigan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cromwell looks a forlorn figure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cromwell manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Madigan prevents Cromwell from improving his position.
Madigan is nestled in close to Cromwell, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Christopher Cromwell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
