And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Cage!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses the shot to the body.
Smith shoots for a takedown but Cage saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Cage shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Smith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Butch Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Cage shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Cage drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Cage off! Cage jumps back into Smith's guard.

Cage drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cage jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smith is looking to control Cage's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Smith avoid being mounted?

Cage decides to stand up.
Cage circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smith misses with a takedown

and Cage counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard.
Cage looking to pass the guard.

Cage drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Cage off! Cage jumps back into Smith's guard.

Cage postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Smith is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cage, into his guard.
Smith wants to control from the top but Cage keeps moving.

Cage pushes a forearm under Smith's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Smith is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
