Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dave Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin has chosen Survivor-Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Wilson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Griffin! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wilson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Griffin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Wilson wants to control but Griffin is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wilson is looking to improve his position.
Griffin seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Griffin stands up from half guard. Wilson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Griffin circles away. Griffin misses with a low kick.
Wilson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Wilson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wilson wants to stand and escape but Griffin is having none of it. Griffin stands and steps away. Wilson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Griffin throws a jab when Wilson was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin tries to bum rush Wilson with a series of wild strikes but Wilson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tyson Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wilson fails with the takedown. Griffin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Wilson is breathing heavily. Griffin decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wilson to his feet. Griffin throws a series of punches but Wilson avoids them all with ease. Griffin throws a big shot that misses. Wilson throws a head kick that half lands.
Wilson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Griffin. Wilson closes the distance and clinches. Wilson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Griffin misses with a looping left. Griffin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Griffin tries to score a body lock takedown but Wilson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin wants a takedown but no success here.
Wilson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Griffin gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wilson is trying to break free. Wilson keeps control of Griffin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Wilson manages to pull guard.
Griffin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wilson is proving hard to escape from. Wilson being controlled here, momentarily. Griffin stands and steps away. Wilson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice combination there by Griffin.
Griffin scores with a one two! Wilson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Griffin throws a leg kick that misses. Griffin tries to clinch up but Wilson circles away and keeps his distance. Griffin scores with a jab. Wilson acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Griffin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wilson tries to lock up and control but Griffin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Griffin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wilson working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Griffin stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Griffin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Wilson doesn't seem bothered though. Jab, jab by Griffin - just one landing. Griffin lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Griffin avoids the head kick by Wilson.
Griffin displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Griffin fails to land the takedown. Griffin tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Wilson counters with a left and a right that stings Griffin. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wilson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Griffin as he jumps to the side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyson Griffin dominated that round. That's time! Wilson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Griffin tries to clinch up and Wilson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Griffin is pressed up against the cage. Wilson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Griffin down to the mat. Griffin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Wilson keeps the fight on the outside. Griffin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Griffin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Horrible takedown by Griffin or perhaps it was just good defense by Wilson which made him look bad. Wilson has a takedown stuffed. Griffin is looking to chop away at Wilson's legs. Griffin lands with an overhand left. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice body punch from Griffin. Griffin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Griffin showed some decent athleticism there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Griffin drives through and clinches with Wilson against the cage.
Griffin is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Wilson can't break the clinch.
Griffin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wilson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Griffin closes the distance but Wilson moves to the side and Wilson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Griffin lunges at Wilson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wilson's hand. Wilson misses with a takedown attempt - Griffin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Griffin rushes Wilson and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin jumps into guard, dragging Wilson to the mat.
Wilson won't allow Griffin to get back to his feet. Griffin keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully. Tyson Griffin has got the better of the ground game so far. Griffin is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wilson dives into side control.
Griffin gets back to half guard. Griffin is trying to stand up here but Wilson is controlling him well. Griffin pushes Wilson off and gets back to his feet. Griffin shoots in but Wilson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Griffin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Wilson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Griffin lands with a straight right. Wilson didn't see that one coming. Dave Wilson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wilson avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Some bone on bone action there as Wilson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Wilson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Griffin takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Griffin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. An inside leg kick lands from Wilson. Griffin catches Wilson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Griffin uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Griffin paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wilson circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. No joy there for Griffin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wilson gets a clinch. Wilson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Griffin smiles and moves away.
Griffin clinches up against the cage. Griffin tries for a takedown but Wilson manages to get underhooks.
Wilson pulls guard. Griffin gets to his feet. Wilson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Griffin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wilson was well out of range. Poor timing from Griffin. Wilson dives in and grabs Griffin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes down on Wilson's head and hops out. Wilson blocks a leg kick. Griffin cracks Wilson with a right hand to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyson Griffin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Griffin tries to clinch but Wilson moves out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Griffin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wilson moves into the clinch. Griffin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wilson.
Wilson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Griffin avoids it. Wilson successfully pulls guard.
Griffin content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griffin tries to stand but Wilson is controlling from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin sitting in guard here, content to control. Griffin stands and steps away. Wilson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Griffin uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Griffin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Griffin lands with an uppercut that bounces Wilson off the cage and back into rage. Griffin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Griffin tries to bum rush Wilson with a series of wild strikes but Wilson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wilson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wilson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wilson jumps guard but Griffin stands there with Wilson around his waist. Wilson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Griffin avoids the strikes from the bottom by Wilson. Wilson wants to get back to his feet. Griffin decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wilson to his feet. Griffin closes the distance but Wilson moves to the side and Wilson counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wilson controls from within his opponent's guard. Griffin wants to get back to his feet but Wilson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wilson is pushing down on Griffin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Griffin is fighting to maintain full guard but Wilson has managed to sneak the leg through. Wilson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wilson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Griffin defending well though. Griffin wants to get back to full guard but Wilson has passed into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Griffin is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Griffin slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Griffin is trying to stand.
Griffin manages to escape and get back to his feet! Griffin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wilson to the mat! Wilson manages to get full guard. Griffin wants to stand but Wilson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Dave Wilson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tyson Griffin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Griffin stands and steps away. Wilson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyson Griffin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Griffin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
