Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva dives in and grabs stan's left leg, looking for a takedown. stan pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.
Silva clinches with his opponent.
stan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
stan can't break the clinch.
stan takes a knee right on the jaw!
Silva with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Silva breaks the clinch.
stan misses with a few strikes there.
Silva clinches up against the cage.

stan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

stan tries to break free but Silva pushes him back against the cage.

Silva misses with a knee to the head.
stan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Silva has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Silva is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! stan is forced to tap! Great finish!
