Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Cullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Metallica-Enter Sandman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace keeps the fight on the outside.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wallace fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Wallace jumps guard but Cullen stands there with Wallace around his waist. Wallace gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Wallace is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Wallace tries to pass to full mount but Cullen defends it.
Wallace works his foot free and advances to mount.

Wallace jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cullen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cullen and Wallace has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wallace wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cullen, who protects the arm well.

Cullen is trying to get back to his feet.

Wallace is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cullen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cullen looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cullen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cullen is looking to clinch.
Cullen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Wallace gets the takedown into side control.

Wallace wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cullen, who protects the arm well.

Wallace has hold of Cullen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cullen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wallace cranks the arm and Cullen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cullen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Dan Wallace!
