Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Gabriel Marcurius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herisvaldo Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcurius kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Burn in Hell by Twisted Sister. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Victor Gabriel Marcurius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Herisvaldo Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pereira closes the distance and clinches.
Pereira has Marcurius pressed against the ropes.
Marcurius is trying to force a seperation but Pereira has the dominant position.
Pereira is pressed up against the ropes. Marcurius has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pereira down to the mat. Pereira avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Marcurius feints and as Pereira raises his hands in defense, Marcurius changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Marcurius trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Marcurius slips nicely into half guard.
Pereira is defending against the submission attempts here by Marcurius.
Pereira missing with punches from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Pereira is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Marcurius's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Marcurius's back!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Marcurius tries to escape the position.
Marcurius is trying to get back to his feet but Pereira has full control of the position and if anything, Marcurius has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Marcurius rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Marcurius is looking for a sweep. Pereira is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Pereira not landing any meaningful shots this time.
It looks like Pereira is going to stand back up.
Marcurius looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Pereira tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Pereira tries to clinch but Marcurius is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pereira wants to clinch.
Pereira shoots and misses
and Marcurius counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Marcurius trying to control the position from guard on top but Pereira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marcurius drops back looking for a leg! Pereira is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pereira manages to kick Marcurius off! Marcurius jumps back into Pereira's guard.
Pereira has a closed guard, preventing Marcurius from standing up.
Pereira wants to get back to his feet but Marcurius is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Marcurius has gone for a leg lock! Pereira slips out almost immediately though and dives into Marcurius's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pereira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marcurius swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Marcurius has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Pereira doesn't defend quickly enough and Marcurius has managed to lock this one up! Can Pereira escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Marcurius on a fantastic submission victory.
