Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Jelsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goku Steve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jelsky's entrance music is Stronger . A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Jelsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Goku Steve! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jelsky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jelsky feints and as Steve raises his hands in defense, Jelsky changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jelsky prevents Steve from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jelsky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Steve clinches up with Jelsky and pushes him back against the cage. Steve manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jelsky tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Steve counters with a straight right hand. Jelsky throws a head kick that misses and Steve counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jelsky is lucky that one didn't land flush. Andrew Jelsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jelsky tries to clinch up and Steve holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jelsky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Steve is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jelsky wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Jelsky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steve has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jelsky uses from the top position. Jelsky stops Steve from standing up. Jelsky is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jelsky sitting in guard, not really doing much. Steve is looking to stand up but Jelsky isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jelsky drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jelsky jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jelsky won't allow Steve to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Goku Steve dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jelsky with a poor takedown and Steve counters with a big head kick but Jelsky shrugs it off. Steve throws a head kick that misses. Jelsky tries to clinch up enabling Steve to counter with a crisp jab. Jelsky clinches but Steve breaks the clinch and Steve cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jelsky has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jelsky there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Andrew Jelsky has been cut. Danga de danga de dang - Steve scores with a four punch combination! Jelsky is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Jelsky clinches but Steve breaks the clinch and Steve counters with a two punch combo.
Jelsky is rocked! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Steve lands a nice shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Steve gets in close and instigates a clinch. Steve is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Steve escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steve lands with a slapping head kick. Jelsky walks forward, straight into a front kick from Steve. Goku Steve is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Steve lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Jelsky takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jelsky has his takedown stuffed and Steve counters by moving into the clinch. Jelsky gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Steve.
Steve using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jelsky has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jelsky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Steve is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Jelsky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steve works on Jelsky's body with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steve has picked Jelsky up - he's going for a ride! Steve dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Steve wants to stand up but Jelsky is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steve wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Jelsky uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Jelsky controls Steve momentarily but Steve frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jelsky is really struggling to control Steve but he's trying to hold on to the position. Steve has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jelsky is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jelsky blocks a head kick by Steve.
Jelsky clinches but Steve breaks the clinch and Steve moves into the clinch. Jelsky blocks an elbow strike. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jelsky tries for a takedown. No joy.
Steve has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jelsky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jelsky gets underhooks to prevent Steve's takedown attempt.

Goku Steve showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Andrew Jelsky's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Jelsky misses with a takedown and Steve counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Steve is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jelsky pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jelsky tries for a takedown. No joy.

Jelsky throws a head kick that misses and Steve counters with a flying knee. Nice. Jelsky closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jelsky lands in his opponent's guard. Steve is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jelsky is controlling him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jelsky with a poor takedown and Steve counters by moving into the clinch. Steve changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jelsky fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jelsky lands a takedown into guard.
Jelsky prevents Steve from getting back to his feet. Andrew Jelsky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Goku Steve is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andrew Jelsky. I think Steve has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
