Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teodor Tsvetkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Valdivia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsvetkov has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Jorge Valdivia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jorge Valdivia! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valdivia tries to close the distance and clinch but Tsvetkov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A head kick misses from Valdivia. The fight stays on the outside here - Tsvetkov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tsvetkov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Valdivia circles away. Tsvetkov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Valdivia defends it nicely. Tsvetkov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Tsvetkov is breathing heavily. Valdivia is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tsvetkov's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Valdivia regains full guard. Nicely done. Valdivia pushes Tsvetkov off and scrambles back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tsvetkov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Valdivia moves away. Tsvetkov looks for a takedown but Valdivia sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teodor Tsvetkov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Valdivia tries to clinch there but Tsvetkov circles away.
Valdivia throws a sloppy head kick and Tsvetkov moves out of range easily. Valdivia throws a right and a left that Tsvetkov avoids nicely. Valdivia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Valdivia controlling the position easily from mount. Valdivia's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Let's hope that Valdivia has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Tsvetkov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Valdivia wants to take his opponent's back but Tsvetkov doesn't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valdivia with shots to the head and body - Tsvetkov looks very uncomfortable down there. Valdivia gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Tsvetkov gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tsvetkov lands a takedown into guard.
Valdivia has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Tsvetkov off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Tsvetkov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tsvetkov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tsvetkov fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tsvetkov prevents Valdivia from getting the reversal. Valdivia wants to try and get back to his feet. Tsvetkov is landing with some decent strikes but Valdivia is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Tsvetkov controlling from the full mount. Tsvetkov looking to ground and pound but Valdivia is blocking nicely. Tsvetkov tries to control but Valdivia wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jorge Valdivia will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Tsvetkov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Valdivia is working away from the top position though. Valdivia postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Tsvetkov to stand up. Tsvetkov misses with a wild combination.
Valdivia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Valdivia decides to stand and escape the position. Tsvetkov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tsvetkov misses with a takedown attempt and Valdivia counters with a head kick. That will keep Tsvetkov thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Tsvetkov with a poor takedown and Valdivia counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tsvetkov's guard now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valdivia's corner is telling him to maintain position. Jorge Valdivia has got the better of the ground game so far. Tsvetkov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Valdivia stands up from guard. Let's bang! Tsvetkov feints and as Valdivia raises his hands in defense, Tsvetkov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Valdivia controls Tsvetkov momentarily but Tsvetkov frees himself. Valdivia has control of Tsvetkov's left arm, preventing Tsvetkov from doing any damage. Valdivia has a closed guard, preventing Tsvetkov from standing up. Valdivia controls Tsvetkov momentarily but Tsvetkov frees himself.

Tsvetkov looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick misses from Valdivia.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tsvetkov misses with a takedown attempt and Valdivia counters with a big head kick but Tsvetkov shrugs it off. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teodor Tsvetkov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Excellent takedown into side control there by Valdivia. Valdivia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tsvetkov keeps working. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Valdivia tries to move to mount but Tsvetkov blocks the move with his legs. Valdivia stands up and we're back to a striking position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorge Valdivia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Valdivia shoots for a double leg takedown but Tsvetkov sprawls well. He's pushed Valdivia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Teodor Tsvetkov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tsvetkov avoids the head kick by Valdivia.
Tsvetkov shoots and misses and Valdivia moves into the clinch. Valdivia wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tsvetkov has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tsvetkov prevents the takedown attempt.

We're back to striking at a distance. Teodor Tsvetkov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Valdivia. A head kick by Tsvetkov misses and Valdivia counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tsvetkov won't be happy with that. Tsvetkov could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tsvetkov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valdivia stands up and beckons Tsvetkov to his feet. Tsvetkov shoots and misses and Valdivia counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tsvetkov is lucky that one didn't land flush. Tsvetkov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Valdivia! Valdivia tries to lock up and control but Tsvetkov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Valdivia is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Valdivia bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Valdivia wants to control from the top but Tsvetkov keeps moving. Valdivia stands up and waves to Tsvetkov to follow him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tsvetkov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Valdivia counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Valdivia. Valdivia looking to stall.
Tsvetkov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Valdivia. Tsvetkov is looking to clinch. Tsvetkov throws a head kick that misses. Valdivia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tsvetkov tries to avoid it but Valdivia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tsvetkov to the ground. Tsvetkov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Valdivia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tsvetkov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tsvetkov. Tsvetkov prevents Valdivia from escaping the position. Tsvetkov looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Valdivia is avoiding damage well.
Valdivia wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Tsvetkov looks up at the clock and then as Valdivia takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tsvetkov smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Valdivia is trying to control Tsvetkov's posture but Tsvetkov avoids it. Tsvetkov throws an elbow but Valdivia slips to the side and avoids it well. Jorge Valdivia is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Valdivia is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tsvetkov has just dragged him back down to the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Jorge Valdivia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Valdivia has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
