0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piotr Kozminsk! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nielson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kozminsk throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nielson was covering up waiting for the punch and Kozminsk finishes the takedown easily into guard. Nielson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kozminsk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kozminsk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nielson looking for a guillotine here but Kozminsk defends easily.

Kozminsk controls from within his opponent's guard. Nielson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kozminsk is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nielson. Nielson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kozminsk connects with a decent elbow.

Let's hope that Kozminsk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Nielson actively working from the bottom here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kozminsk connects with a nice short shot to Nielson's temple. Nielson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Nielson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kozminsk should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Nielson has tightened it up now! Kozminsk should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
