Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, jeff bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Patrick Jensen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jensen throws a sloppy head kick and bob moves out of range easily. Jensen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jensen lands a lovely overhand right. Patrick Jensen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jensen gets caught flat footed, as bob shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jensen keeping full guard, as bob tries to pass. bob wants to control from the top but Jensen keeps moving. bob won't allow Jensen to get back to his feet. Jensen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jensen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. bob pushing down on Jensen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. bob is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. bob stands up from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jensen lands a nice shot to the body.
Jensen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. bob has taken the fight to the clinch.
bob tries to pull guard but Jensen holds him up against the ropes and eventually bob drops back down to his feet.
bob lands a shot to the body. bob pulls guard. Jensen throws a strike but bob rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. bob wants to pass the guard but Jensen is keeping the position. Jensen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst bob is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. bob advances position into side control! Check out the look on bob's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
bob is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. bob is breathing heavily. bob works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. bob decides to take the fight back to the feet. bob moves into the clinch. bob is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Jensen tries to break the clinch but bob is controlling the position. bob lands a hook that snaps the head of Jensen backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jensen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. bob jumps into guard, dragging Jensen to the mat.
Jensen wants to get up but he can't break bob's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Jensen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Good shot there by bob. bob fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jensen throws a right and a left that both miss. Jensen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from bob. Jensen throws a head kick that misses. Jensen doesn't manage to clinch there - bob circles away.
Good exchange - bob coming out on top. bob fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jeff bob. That's going to take a lot out of him. bob showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jensen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. bob tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jensen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten bob somewhat. Jensen lands a high kick!
bob dives in and grabs Jensen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jensen pushes down on bob's head and hops out. Jensen looks to clinch and bob counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by bob. Jensen is looking to stand up but bob isn't so interested in that idea. bob content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Jensen is looking to stand back up but bob counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jensen. Jensen looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's five minutes gone in the round. bob is figuring out what he wants to do next. bob postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jensen to stand up. Jensen lands a jab. bob darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. bob is keen to just control but Jensen is a slippery customer. bob is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. bob trying to control the action but Jensen is working from the bottom.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from bob. bob stands up out of the half guard. bob tries to clinch but Jensen moves away and Jensen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jensen tries a head kick but it misses.
bob shoots in but no luck this time. Jensen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. bob misses with a few strikes there.
Jensen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jensen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jensen closes the distance but bob moves to the side and bob counters with a takedown into side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Jensen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! bob working the ground and pound from side control. bob laying and praying for a moment but Jensen takes advantage and regains half guard. Jensen wants to get back to his feet.
bob slips a nice elbow through Jensen's hands, connecting with Jensen's forehead. Jensen pushes bob off looking to stand but bob dives back in and keeps control.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jensen is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. bob drives through and clinches with Jensen against the ropes.
Jensen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jensen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. bob moves into range and clinches up with Jensen. Jensen is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Jensen manages to break the clinch.
bob tries a head kick but it misses.
bob shoots for a double leg takedown but Jensen sprawls well. He's pushed bob's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. bob moves in looking to clinch but Jensen pushes him off. Jensen throws a combination. bob tries to block but a couple of punches get through. bob throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jensen's waist but Jensen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing bob off to one side. Jensen clinches but bob breaks the clinch and bob counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A nice combination there by Jensen.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
bob trying to control the action but Jensen is working from the bottom. bob lands with a punch from half guard. bob wants to take a breather but Jensen is having none of it. bob scoring with strikes to the body and head. Jensen makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. bob shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jensen is trying to defend but bob finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. bob winds up and cracks Jensen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
jeff bob dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Jensen keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jensen circles away from the clinch attempt and Jensen counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jensen wants to clinch up but bob keeps it at a distance. bob throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jensen's waist but Jensen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing bob off to one side. Jensen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and bob counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jensen won't be happy with that. bob lands an elbow. bob tries for a kimura but Jensen is defending well. bob wants to stand but Jensen has his arm trapped. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. bob looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jensen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! bob moves into full mount! bob trying to control but Jensen is having none of it. bob is in the full mount, landing strikes. bob can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jensen is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. bob controlling his opponent. bob has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jensen's face.
Jensen is bucking up trying to escape but bob cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Jensen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. jeff bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jensen defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from bob. bob stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. bob throws a leg kick which misses Jensen's front leg but catches the back leg as Jensen tries to avoid it. Jensen wants to clinch and bob counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jensen! bob unloading with bombs! Jensen is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! bob has taken his back! Jensen wants to get back to his feet. Jensen is trapped and bob is scoring with shots to the head and body. Jensen looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. bob connects with a big shot to the side of Jensen's head.
bob is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oooh a big shot gets through from bob. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

jeff bob is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. bob slips under a jab. bob rushes Jensen and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. bob fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. bob gets a trip takedown into half guard. Jensen pushes bob off looking to stand but bob dives back in and keeps control.
bob takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. bob trying to control from half guard but Jensen is working away. Jensen looks like he's trying to stand up.
bob wants to control but Jensen is keeping him busy. Jensen is in trouble now - bob has advanced to mount! bob controlling his opponent.
That's six minutes gone in the round. bob seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jensen for as long as he can get away with. bob looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Jensen is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Jensen taking shots to the head. bob controlling from mount. bob cracks Jensen with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jensen is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! bob has taken his back! bob struggling to keep hold of the position.
Jensen is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The referee stands the fighters back up. jeff bob just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. bob has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jensen throws a head punch that misses. bob is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jensen is keeping busy. bob has Jensen pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Jensen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jeff bob. That's going to take a lot out of him. bob is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. bob is trying to trip Jensen. He has hold of a leg but Jensen is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. bob persists though and gets the takedown into guard. bob slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. bob advances position into side control! bob landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Jensen is pushing bob's head away, looking to escape. bob manages to hold on to the position though. bob has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Jensen! bob landing punches. bob controlling from the full mount. Jensen bucks bob off and manages to get back to his feet! Patrick Jensen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! jeff bob is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jensen throws a shot from downtown. bob moves away and avoids it.
And that's the end of the fight! jeff bob showed his dominance in that final round. I think bob has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
