Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Osipzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Lange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Osipzak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Red Lange! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lange lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Osipzak circles away quickly and effectively. Lange misses with a looping left. Osipzak darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Osipzak is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lange is just riding it out for now. Osipzak eventually gives up the hold. Lange has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Osipzak is working away from the top position though. Lange is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lange is staying active underneath Osipzak, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Lange regains full guard. Nicely done. Lange not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Osipzak feints and as Lange raises his hands in defense, Osipzak changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lange throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Osipzak would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Osipzak has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lange has his foot on Osipzak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Osipzak works his way back into a safe position though. Osipzak drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Osipzak jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Osipzak is breathing heavily. Lange is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lange might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Osipzak kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lange has his foot on Osipzak's thigh. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Osipzak clinches up against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Osipzak turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Osipzak tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Osipzak is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lange knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Osipzak dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A right-left combo lands from Lange. Lange shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Osipzak counters with a nice body shot. Some wild striking there from Lange.
Osipzak shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Osipzak was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! A nice elbow there by Osipzak. Lange is breathing heavily. Lange tries to hold on but Osipzak postures up. Lange in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Osipzak landing strikes, looking to finish! Osipzak trying to control but Lange is having none of it. Lange throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Osipzak landing strikes from the mount. Osipzak working for a submission but Lange is keeping him at bay. Osipzak looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lange defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Osipzak. Osipzak dominating with strikes here. Lange is looking to improve his position but Osipzak isn't that keen on the idea. Osipzak looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Osipzak cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Osipzak has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Lange looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Osipzak dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Osipzak drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Osipzak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Osipzak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Lange is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Osipzak off and has taken his back! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lange looking for the RNC. Osipzak tries to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Osipzak trying to control the action but Lange just sinks the hooks in. Lange missing with strikes. Lange has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Osipzak has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Lange tries to keep control of the position but Osipzak is staying busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Osipzak tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Nick Osipzak overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Osipzak blocking the ground and pound. Lange prevents Osipzak from getting the reversal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Osipzak is working hard here to advance position. Lange looking to control but Osipzak is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Osipzak tries to lock up and control but Lange gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lange throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Osipzak because Lange loaded up on that one. Osipzak wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Osipzak slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Lange is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Osipzak!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Osipzak working to try and regain half guard.
Lange wants to take Osipzak's back but he can't do it this time. Lange looking to ground and pound but Osipzak is blocking nicely. Osipzak is desperately trying to improve his position but Lange has a good base and remains in mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Red Lange has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nick Osipzak is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lange throwing strikes here but Osipzak is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nick Osipzak. Well Osipzak has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
