Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shane The Pain Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Tallings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think The Pain Killer might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Combat Baby. Shane The Pain Killer has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Tallings! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tallings misses with a wild combination.
Tallings lands a jab-cross combination. Danga de danga de dang - Tallings scores with a four punch combination! The Pain Killer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Check out the look on The Pain Killer's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The Pain Killer controlling the position. Tallings tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Pain Killer controlling from the full mount. Tallings's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tallings is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The Pain Killer lands a nice shot to the head. The Pain Killer controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tallings is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Pain Killer is in the full mount, landing strikes. The Pain Killer controlling his opponent. The Pain Killer breaks from Tallings's wrist control and lands an elbow. The Pain Killer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The Pain Killer controlling the position easily from mount. Tallings is bucking up trying to escape but The Pain Killer cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Shane The Pain Killer just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Tallings moves out of range as The Pain Killer throws a body kick.
The Pain Killer drives through with a takedown into guard. Tallings is looking to stand back up but The Pain Killer counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Tallings. The Pain Killer uses his free foot to push down on Tallings's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tallings.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Pain Killer with good strikes from the mount here! The Pain Killer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The Pain Killer with the ground and pound from mount. The Pain Killer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The Pain Killer lands a heavy elbow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The Pain Killer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A clash of legs there as The Pain Killer blocks the low kick. Jab from Tallings. The Pain Killer forces Tallings back against the cage and clinches. The Pain Killer lands a knee to the body.

Tallings tries to clinch but fails miserably and The Pain Killer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tallings's guard now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The Pain Killer controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The Pain Killer decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tallings, up you get! The Pain Killer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The Pain Killer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tallings tries to kick The Pain Killer off but The Pain Killer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The Pain Killer decides to return to a standing position. The Pain Killer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The Pain Killer stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tallings is defending against the submission attempts here by The Pain Killer.
The Pain Killer gets to his feet - back to striking we go! The Pain Killer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tallings napping and manages to drive through into side control! The Pain Killer staying calm. Shane The Pain Killer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tallings is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, The Pain Killer asserts his dominance and retains side control. The Pain Killer controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tallings wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The Pain Killer is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tallings will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. The Pain Killer lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tallings down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tallings is trying to escape and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tallings throws a lazy body kick and The Pain Killer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tallings won't be happy with that. The Pain Killer stands up. The Pain Killer showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tallings.

Come on The Pain Killer - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Tallings looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. The Pain Killer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tallings can do to turn this around? The Pain Killer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tallings leaves The Pain Killer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tallings thuds a left hand into The Pain Killer's body. The fight stays on the outside here - Tallings looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tallings throws a leg kick but The Pain Killer moved away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The Pain Killer feints and as Tallings raises his hands in defense, The Pain Killer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Pain Killer stops Tallings from standing up. The Pain Killer controls from within his opponent's guard. Tallings wants to stand up but The Pain Killer is controlling him. Tallings really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Pain Killer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The Pain Killer pushes down on Tallings's leg and manages to get into half guard. Nice strikes from The Pain Killer there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Tallings pushes The Pain Killer off looking to stand but The Pain Killer dives back in and keeps control.
The Pain Killer uses his free foot to push down on Tallings's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tallings. The Pain Killer controlling the position easily from mount. The Pain Killer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tallings for as long as he can get away with. The Pain Killer swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tallings is now in The Pain Killer's guard. A big mistake from The Pain Killer there, giving up the dominant position!

The Pain Killer has Tallings pulled in close to control his posture. Tallings wants to get up but he can't break The Pain Killer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Tallings must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The Pain Killer has his hands on Tallings's head, controlling the position. Shane The Pain Killer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The Pain Killer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Shane The Pain Killer just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Tallings thows a body shot but no joy. Tallings motions for The Pain Killer to come forward. Tallings throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. The Pain Killer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dan Tallings has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tallings is trying to break the clinch but The Pain Killer is controlling him. The Pain Killer scores with a knee to the head.

And that's the end of the fight! Shane The Pain Killer showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for The Pain Killer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
