Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommbeck Orerott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladamir Petrov! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Orerott manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Petrov throwing strikes from guard but Orerott blocks nicely. Orerott is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Petrov passes Orerott's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Petrov not landing any meaningful shots this time. Petrov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Petrov is trying to control. Orerott wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Orerott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petrov on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petrov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Orerott scores with a jab to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big left from Orerott misses. Orerott lands with a shot to the body. Orerott looks to throw the jab but Petrov is out of range. Petrov is looking to clinch but Orerott is avoiding it.

Petrov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Petrov wants to control from the top but Orerott keeps moving.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Petrov slips nicely into half guard. Petrov wants to control but Orerott is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Petrov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Orerott's head. Petrov trying to control the action but Orerott is working from the bottom. Petrov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Orerott is breathing heavily. Petrov is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Orerott just misses with a punch to the body.
Petrov fails with a takedown attempt. Petrov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Petrov misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Petrov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Orerott defending against the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladamir Petrov dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Orerott throws a jab but it's blocked by Petrov. Petrov shoots in but no luck this time. Petrov dodges the punch combination from Orerott.
A jab from Orerott misses. Orerott throws a nice looking combination but Petrov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice takedown defense from Orerott. No joy for Petrov on that attempt. Petrov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Petrov lands in his opponent's guard. Petrov has gone for a leg lock! Orerott slips out almost immediately though and dives into Petrov's guard. Petrov wants to sweep here but Orerott controlling him for the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Petrov is pressing down on Orerott's thigh, looking to free his foot. Orerott is holding on for now. Petrov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Petrov wants to control but Orerott is keeping him busy. Orerott keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Petrov moves into full mount! Orerott won't be happy about that! Orerott is squirming around, avoiding Petrov's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Petrov has isolated one of Orerott's arms. Orerott looking to fight him off but Petrov twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
