Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Boogs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Hogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Craig Boogs! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boogs throws a jab but it's blocked by Hogan. Hogan looks to score with a jab to the body but Boogs is just out of range. Hogan moves in looking to clinch but Boogs pushes him off. Boogs throws a right and a left that both miss. Boogs misses with a hook. Hogan ducked under it nicely. Boogs swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hogan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hogan tries to free his leg and advance position but Boogs is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hogan is working hard here to advance position. Boogs utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boogs can do anything to dispel that myth. Hogan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boogs swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hogan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hogan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Boogs wants to stand but Hogan is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boogs trying to keep a closed guard but Hogan is proving a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A big left from Boogs misses. Boogs falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hogan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hogan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boogs defends it well. Boogs wants to get back to his feet. Hogan seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boogs is pressing down on Hogan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Boogs wants to stand but Hogan is controlling the position. Hogan trying to control but Boogs is working from the bottom. Hogan pushing down on Boogs's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Boogs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hogan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boogs is looking to escape. Boogs kicks off Hogan and gets to his feet. Craig Boogs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd cheers as Boogs lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hogan doesn't seem phased though. Hogan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Boogs. Boogs misses with a looping right.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boogs throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Boogs bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hogan's head backwards. Boogs throws a wild body kick that Hogan sees coming a mile off. A swing and a miss from Hogan. Hogan misses with a hook. Hogan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Boogs.
Boogs gets off balance looking for a body kick and Hogan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Boogs jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hogan misses with a takedown attempt - Boogs sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Boogs throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hogan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Boogs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hogan circles away quickly and effectively. Boogs misses the jab. A telegraphed right hand from Boogs misses the target. Boogs just misses with a punch to the body.
Hogan walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Hogan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boogs is trying to defend but Hogan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Boogs is defending against the submission attempts here by Hogan.

Hogan checks a low kick from Boogs. Boogs clobbers Hogan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A jab from Boogs does it's job there. Boogs misses with a looping right. Boogs scores with a punch to the head. Boogs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hogan slips a straight right by Boogs. Hogan avoids the body shot from Boogs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hogan moves out of range as Boogs strikes. Boogs looks to land a left hand but Hogan moved out of range nicely. Hogan staying out of range there. Boogs misses with a straight right. Boogs looks to land a combination but Hogan avoids it well. Hogan wants to clinch up but Boogs keeps it at a distance. A big left from Boogs misses. Hogan doesn't manage to clinch there - Boogs circles away.
Boogs throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Hogan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Boogs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hogan moves away from the strike by Boogs. Hogan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Hogan fails with a takedown attempt. Hogan fails with an attempt to clinch.

Boogs connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Hogan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Boogs looks to land a body kick but Hogan moved away. Boogs fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hogan on the side of the head. Boogs throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hogan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boogs swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boogs lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Boogs. Boogs looks to score with a jab to the body but Hogan is just out of range. Craig Boogs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Boogs is looking to control Hogan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Boogs avoid being mounted? Hogan wants to pass the guard but Boogs is defending well. Hogan is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Boogs has managed to free his arm - good work. Boogs is trying to stand back up but Hogan is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Boogs throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hogan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Boogs! Hogan goes for an armbar but Boogs turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Boogs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boogs would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Boogs avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boogs stands up and waves to Hogan to follow him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boogs thows a leg kick but Hogan checks it and Hogan counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Boogs pushes Hogan off and gets back to his feet. Boogs waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Hogan. Hogan moves out of range as Boogs strikes. A left lands for Boogs. Boogs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hogan. Hogan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. The fighters circling - Boogs throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Boogs connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Boogs throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hogan ducks under a wild hook from Boogs. Nice defenses there by Hogan. Boogs thows a body shot but no joy. Boogs throws a hook but Hogan blocks it. Hogan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hogan lands in his opponent's guard. Hogan won't allow Boogs to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Hogan showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hogan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
