Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Boris Macarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Mycock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pat Mycock will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Macarov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pat Mycock! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Macarov. Mycock slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Boris Macarov has been cut. Mycock takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Macarov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mycock.
Mycock tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Macarov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mycock swinging wilding here.
Macarov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Macarov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Macarov connects with a body shot. Mycock looks gassed! Mycock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Macarov. Macarov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Macarov lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Macarov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Macarov with a nice head shot there. Mycock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macarov working some strikes from top position. Macarov lands a couple of elbows. Macarov distracts Mycock with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Macarov trying to control the position from guard on top but Mycock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Macarov won't allow Mycock to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mycock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mycock wants to control the position but Macarov says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Macarov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Macarov lands a nice short elbow. Macarov is trying to control. Mycock wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Macarov is nestled in close to Mycock, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Mycock blocking the ground and pound attempt from Macarov. Macarov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Mycock is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Macarov scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macarov passes the guard and advances to mount! Macarov cracks Mycock with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Macarov is landing with some decent strikes but Mycock is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Macarov lands a heavy elbow. Macarov fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Macarov blocks Mycock's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Macarov looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Macarov with a couple of short strikes. Mycock taking shots to the head. A nice elbow there by Macarov. Macarov putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Macarov unloading with bombs! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mycock can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Macarov punishing his opponent with strikes. Macarov looking to finish Mycock with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mycock! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boris Macarov dominated that round. The cut man is working on Boris Macarov's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Mycock has Macarov pressed against the cage, preventing Macarov from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mycock is trying to break the clinch but Macarov is controlling him. Mycock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Macarov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Macarov forces Mycock back against the cage and clinches. Mycock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Macarov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Macarov.
Mycock is rocked! Macarov with a jab. Mycock is still on wobbly legs! Can Macarov finish him? Macarov feints and as Mycock raises his hands in defense, Macarov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Macarov is working Mycock over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Macarov throwing strikes but missing. Macarov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Macarov is looking to work some ground and pound but Mycock has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macarov wants to control from the top but Mycock keeps moving. Mycock seems to have recovered his senses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Macarov postures up and lands a big shot to Mycock's brow. Mycock keeping moving, preventing Macarov from controlling successfully. Mycock working a defensive guard but Macarov manages to pass into side control anyway.
Macarov cracks Mycock with a big right hand but Mycock just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Macarov lands some shots froms side control. Macarov grinds an elbow into Mycock's temple. A lull in the action here. Macarov cracks Mycock with an elbow. That is naaassty. Who's going to make the next move? Macarov trying to control the action but Mycock is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mycock taking a bit of punishment here - Macarov scoring with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Macarov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Macarov working the body and head with strikes. Macarov has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mycock!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Macarov is landing with some decent strikes but Mycock is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Macarov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mycock's face.
Macarov has isolated one of Mycock's arms. Mycock looking to fight him off but Macarov twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
