Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Papa Dock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Papa Dock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony Barbossa!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barbossa sprawls well. Barbossa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dock gets slowly back to his feet.

Dock scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Barbossa is trying to maintain the position but Dock is very close to passing his half guard.
Barbossa won't allow Dock to pass to mount.

Dock is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barbossa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dock.

Dock does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Dock misses with an uppercut. Barbossa saw that one coming.
Dock throws a leg kick but Barbossa checks it.
Dock thows a left - swing and a miss!
Dock looks to land a right hand but Barbossa moved out of range.
Horrible takedown by Barbossa or perhaps it was just good defense by Dock which made him look bad.
A big right from Dock misses.

Barbossa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Barbossa is pressing down on Dock's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dock is holding on for now.

Dock is trying to get back to full guard.
Dock has a hand on Barbossa's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Barbossa takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Dock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barbossa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Barbossa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Barbossa stands and throws Dock's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dock is looking for a sweep.

That was a close round but I would say that Papa Dock will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Dock throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dock tries a low kick but Barbossa avoids it.
Barbossa pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dock is out of range and Barbossa settles back down.
Dock tries for a takedown but Barbossa circles away easily

and Barbossa counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barbossa misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Barbossa passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dock!
Dock tries to lock up and control but Barbossa gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Barbossa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dock is looking to escape.

Barbossa controlling the pace for now.

Dock defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Barbossa.
Dock is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Barbossa looking to control but Dock is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Dock wants to try and get back to his feet.
Dock tries to hold on but Barbossa pushes him away.
Barbossa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Despite being in the dominant position, Anthony Barbossa just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dock misses with a hook.
Dock uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barbossa.

Barbossa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Barbossa lands in his opponent's guard.

Dock is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barbossa is aware though and is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barbossa passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dock!

Barbossa wants to finish this one by submission but Dock is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Barbossa.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Barbossa trying to control but Dock is having none of it.
Dock wants to control but Barbossa is having none of it.
Barbossa prevents Dock from getting the reversal.
Barbossa avoids the attempt from Dock to control.
Barbossa looking to control but Dock is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Barbossa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dock kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Anthony Barbossa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dock misses with a head kick.
Barbossa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Barbossa moves away from the strike by Dock.

Dock gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dock controls Barbossa momentarily but Barbossa frees himself.

Dock tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Barbossa has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Barbossa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
