The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas is looking to clinch.
Vargas shoots in for a double leg but Diaz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vargas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Diaz slips a straight right by Vargas.
Vargas misses with a straight left.
Vargas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Diaz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vargas throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice sprawl there from Diaz as Vargas shoots in.
Diaz drops Vargas with a left right combo! Diaz follows him down to the ground into side control.
Vargas is rocked!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Diaz lands a strong strike to the head of Vargas. That's dazed him! Diaz looking to finish here. Vargas is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Diaz lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
