Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsuda gets a clinch.
asf breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A good leg kick by asf.
asf lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by asf.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
asf scores with a jab.
afd asf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matsuda fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
asf keeps the fight on the outside.
Matsuda wants to clinch.
Matsuda forces asf back against the cage and clinches.
asf blocks the elbow strike.
asf manages to break the clinch.
asf throws a combination that misses
and Matsuda moves into the clinch.
asf misses with a knee to the head.
Matsuda keeps control of asf as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Matsuda fails to pull the fight into his guard.

asf has had enough of the clinch but Matsuda keeps him there for the moment.

Matsuda decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Matsuda is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. asf can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Matsuda is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, asf has managed to escape the submission attempt.
asf is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
asf has left one of his arms exposed and Matsuda doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. asf screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
