Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Gleason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gleason comes to the cage accompanied by Trivium - Down From The Sky. Wright is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Big Bad John. Kevin Gleason has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Wright. No joy for Gleason on that attempt.
Gleason gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wright to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wright stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gleason swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gleason is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wright is looking to control Gleason's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wright avoid being mounted?

Gleason is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wright is just riding it out for now. Gleason eventually gives up the hold.

Gleason moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wright has worked his arm free - good work by Wright!
Gleason has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Wright!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gleason has hold of Wright's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Wright manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Wright prevents Gleason from taking his back.

Gleason quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Gleason but it's paid off an Wright is forced to tap! Nice work by Gleason.
