Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlito Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Opeth - Heir Apparent. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Montoya takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Carlito Montoya has been cut.
Montoya is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Montoya fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage.
Montoya fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Montoya throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Montoya tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Peter Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Montoya throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely.
Smith jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Smith takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Smith tries to clinch up.
Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Montoya.
Montoya connects with a high kick.
It looks like Peter Smith has been cut.
Smith throws a hook to the side of Montoya's head but Montoya sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Montoya walks into a stiff left hand from Smith.
Montoya is rocked!
Smith connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Montoya out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Peter Smith!
