Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kartel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kartel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Kartel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vybz Kartel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kartel misses with a series of wild punches.
Kartel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but sapp moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
sapp moves into the clinch successfully.
sapp has hold of one of Kartel's legs. Kartel is fighting the takedown attempt but sapp gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Kartel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. sapp gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kartel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but sapp can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kartel wants to get back to his feet but sapp is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kartel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but sapp circles away quickly and effectively.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kartel is looking for a triangle but sapp pushes his legs off easily.

sapp fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kartel, pushing him back against the cage.
sapp wants the takedown. Kartel is fighting it off but sapp persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kartel's guard against the cage.
sapp really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kartel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
sapp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kartel swivels though and keeps the full guard.

sapp stands up and waves to Kartel to follow him.

Kartel throws a right and a left that sapp avoids nicely.
sapp has managed to clinch.
Kartel wants a takedown.
sapp gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Kartel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
sapp tries to roll over but Kartel keeps him under control.
Kartel is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so sapp is just riding it out for now. Kartel eventually gives up the hold.
Kartel tries to stand but his hand is stuck under sapp.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kartel is trying to work for a kimura but sapp is defending well.

A close second round but Bengan sapp will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kartel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. sapp is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
sapp has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kartel clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
sapp is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. sapp gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. sapp gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. sapp apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Kartel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kartel tries to bum rush sapp with a series of wild strikes but sapp uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
