Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Friedrich Nietzsche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franjo Tuce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Friedrich Nietzsche has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tuce.
Nietzsche looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Tuce tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Tuce thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Tuce goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nietzsche rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tuce's guard! Nice work there by Nietzsche!

Tuce is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nietzsche is aware though and is defending well.

Tuce wants to improve his position but instead Nietzsche has moved into half guard.
Tuce is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nietzsche's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nietzsche's back!

Nietzsche is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Nietzsche is trying to stand back up.

Nietzsche is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tuce gets his way!

Tuce is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Nietzsche knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Nietzsche for a finish.

You can see the frustration on Nietzsche's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Tuce is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Nietzsche has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Tuce is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Nietzsche defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Tuce has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nietzsche is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tuce.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tuce is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Nietzsche's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Tuce is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nietzsche defends well.

Tuce looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nietzsche has picked Tuce up and slammed him! Tuce can't keep hold of the triangle and Nietzsche manages to pass to side control!

Nietzsche has his foot on Tuce's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tuce works his way back into a safe position though.

Tuce drops back looking for a leg! Nietzsche is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nietzsche manages to kick Tuce off! Tuce jumps back into Nietzsche's guard.

Tuce drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nietzsche looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nietzsche looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nietzsche!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tuce stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nietzsche swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tuce is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Tuce drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tuce jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tuce drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nietzsche manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tuce has Nietzsche in his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nietzsche has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Tuce to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nietzsche is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Tuce pulls down on the head and he's put Nietzsche to sleep! This one is all over!
