Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Heller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Drake - Forever. Ryan Heller has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Heller.
Heller throws the left hand but Sanchez avoids the punch easily.
Heller misses with a few strikes there.
Heller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Heller throws a head kick but Sanchez moves out of range.
Heller throws a right and a left that both miss.
Heller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Heller's waist but Heller gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side.

Sanchez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Heller is fending him off so far but Sanchez persists. Nope, Heller circles away and we're back to standing.

Sanchez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Heller's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Heller will probably get the nod.
That's time! Heller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Heller sprawls well. Heller wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.

Sanchez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Heller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sanchez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Heller, who protects the arm well.

Heller is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
