The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A left and a right from Winterflood both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Angel Suarez has been cut.
Winterflood misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Suarez tries to close the distance and clinch but Winterflood swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Suarez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Winterflood displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Suarez.

Suarez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Winterflood sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Suarez somewhat.

Winterflood wants to control the pace but Suarez is squirming around nicely.
Winterflood might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Suarez kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Suarez is looking to get to half guard.

Winterflood can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Suarez is looking to escape.
