Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aquiles Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Naga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castro comes to the cage accompanied by .. Naga has chosen NAGA Nap as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Naga! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castro scores a takedown into full mount! Naga keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Castro looking to ground and pound but Naga is blocking nicely. Naga is trying to escape the mount.

Naga is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Castro is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Naga is surviving well by controlling Castro's body position as best he can. Castro lands a heavy elbow. Poor strikes thrown by Castro there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Castro decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Castro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Naga was covering up waiting for the punch and Castro finishes the takedown easily into guard. Castro passes into half guard. Castro is trying to control the action in half guard but Naga is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Castro is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Naga has managed to free his arm - good work. Naga is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Castro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Castro's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Naga missing with strikes. Naga is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castro manages to reverse the position and now he's in Naga's guard. Nice work there by Castro.
Castro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Naga looks gassed! Naga has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Castro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Naga preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Castro drops back looking for a leg! Naga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Naga manages to kick Castro off! Castro jumps back into Naga's guard. Naga looking to hit a scissor sweep but Castro is one step ahead there. Castro avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Naga wants to sweep here but Castro controlling him for the moment. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Castro's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Castro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Castro drops back looking for a leg! Naga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Naga manages to kick Castro off! Castro jumps back into Naga's guard. Naga has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Castro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Castro trying to control but Naga is working from the bottom. Castro throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Naga works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Castro trying to control the position from guard on top but Naga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aquiles Castro will probably get the nod. That's time! Castro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Naga gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Castro counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Naga! Naga is desperately trying to improve his position but Castro has a good base and remains in mount. Castro looking for a guillotine from mount but Naga is having none of it. Naga working to try and regain half guard.
Naga in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Castro lands a big shot there that rocks Naga but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Naga is breathing heavily. Castro thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Aquiles Castro overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Castro cracks Naga with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Naga tries to hold on but Castro postures up. Naga is looking to get to half guard. Castro postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Naga looks a forlorn figure.

Naga tries to get back to half guard but can't. Naga sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Naga makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Naga.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Naga pushes a forearm under Castro's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Castro is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
