Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tankian throws a right and a left that both miss. Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tankian's waist but Tankian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side. Tankian drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson wants to control but Tankian postures up. Jackson is trying to get back to half guard. Tankian looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tankian trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson is looking for a sweep. Tankian wants to stand but Jackson has his arm trapped. Jackson is trying to improve his position. Tankian wants to stand but Jackson has his arm trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jackson fails with a takedown attempt. Tankian moves in looking to clinch but Jackson pushes him off. Nice sprawl there from Jackson as Tankian shoots in. Jackson has his takedown stuffed so Tankian counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Serj Tankian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hunter Jackson. Tankian is breathing heavily. Jackson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tankian is one step ahead there. Jackson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Tankian thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jackson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jackson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tankian's face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tankian squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Jackson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jackson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Jackson misses with a head shot. Jackson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jackson working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jackson working for a submission but Tankian is keeping him at bay. Jackson lands a big shot there that rocks Tankian but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jackson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Tankian gets back to half guard. Jackson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Tankian avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jackson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tankian keeps working. Tankian is trying to maintain the position but Jackson is very close to passing his half guard. Jackson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tankian's head. Jackson trying to control the action but Tankian is working from the bottom. Tankian trying to control but Jackson postures up.
Ground and pound from Jackson. Tankian is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Tankian throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jackson.
It looks like Hunter Jackson has been cut. Tankian shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tankian goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tankian fakes the leg kick and cracks Jackson in the body. Tankian is looking to clinch. Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Tankian counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Tankian shows good takedown defense. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tankian gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tankian's guard. Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tankian is keeping the position for now. Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jackson trying to control but Tankian is working from the bottom. Tankian controls Jackson momentarily but Jackson frees himself. Jackson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jackson works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tankian gets full guard. Jackson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tankian dives on top into guard. Tankian has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tankian stands and steps away. Jackson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Serj Tankian will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Hunter Jackson's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tankian looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Jackson working away. Jackson tries to advance to mount but can't. Tankian can't do much from the bottom here. Tankian throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Left hook, right uppercut from Tankian. Tankian fails with the takedown. Jackson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Tankian has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though. Hunter Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Jackson working over Tankian with some ground and pound. Tankian looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Jackson wants to take a breather but Tankian is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson lands strikes from half guard. Jackson winds up and cracks Tankian with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is keen to just control but Tankian is a slippery customer. Jackson is trying for a kimura here. Tankian looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jackson wins by kimura!
